LPE welcomes students of all abilities and does not discriminate in administration of its educational and admission policies. Please discuss any educational, social, or developmental concerns about your child with the director before the child’s first day of class, so we can prepare the best classroom environment for them.
-
If a parent/family decides to withdraw their child from LPE for any reason, we will do our best to fill the child’s spot as soon as possible. The family’s financial obligation will end once their child’s spot has been filled or once the current school year ends, whichever comes first. We cannot guarantee a timeline in which to fill your child’s spot but we will do our best based on our waitlist. The registration fee, materials fee and monthly tuition are not refundable.
-
If your family and your child has just moved to Napa from another country/state/ city, we advise an adjustment period at your new home first for at least 1-2 weeks before starting attendance at LPE. Moves can be quite difficult for children, and starting a new school is always an additional adjustment so we recommend doing the transitions one at a time to ensure their successful transition into their classroom at LPE. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to come up with a plan that will work for your family.
-
A certificate of good health (Physician’s Report) is required at the time of admission, dated within 30 days of your child’s first day of school and signed by a physician. Children attending LPE must be up to date on all immunizations.
-
LPE families and teachers use a secure app to communicate with one another. Teachers provide individualized updates and reminders within the app, as well as a recap of the week’s curriculum.
LPE may also communicate with families via email, phone, text message, via paper bulletins, or through a private LPE parent Facebook page. Sensitive information regarding individual students is always kept confidential.
-
We take allergies seriously at LPE and ask that families inform our office and fill out required paperwork if a student is or becomes allergic to any ingredient.
When a student has an allergy, we label the classroom clearly to note the allergy, and closely monitor the classroom environment for food allergens. We also communicate proactively with the other families in your child’s classroom to omit the allergen in foods being consumer in the classroom.
